Authentic Social Media

I think, you think, we create (better) together

I would say yes, absolutely. By reflecting and writing, possibily sparking a discussion, we are bound to learn more, therefore to become smarter. Better out than in. But do we need to be more careful about what we say and how we say it?

Yes. Connecting and conversing makes you part of something bigger, wiser, smarter.

Not to mention the reflection and openness that comes from sharing your stuff.

"Do we need to be more careful about what we say and how we say it?"

Well, sort of.
One of the things we can all learn from blogging is how to communicate more effectively, how to research your stuff, how to quote properly and how to question our own assumptions.

But if we're too careful about what we say, we might miss out on the biggest learning experience there is; making mistakes and learning from them...

Yay! I like that. See - it's so much better to get you guys saying stuff rather than just me. I reckon a blog with a Ning is an exciting thing. Just need to integrate it all into my new blogsite.

I use my blog partly to digest ideas I'm trying to understand or form and to connect to new ideas and new thinkers. Using your brain to solve tricky problems does make you smarter - so blogging should to.
