Authentic Social Media

I think, you think, we create (better) together

Here are three examples of blogging doing great stuff to communicate in the social/eco sector.

1. Ethical Weddings
2. Greenpeace
3. Thriving Too

I love the way Tessy at Thriving always uses an image and every post is a good un. (Disclosure: I am a sometimes blogger on Thriving). Her posts are always inspiring and it was no surprise to see it referenced on the Greenpeace site.

Katie does a great job of blogging about Ethical Weddings. Last I heard, she was thinking about setting up a Ning social network to allow her community to communicate more directly with each other.

Greenpeace are bringing a range of voices together to tell some of the many stories that matter.

In the old stakeholder relations days we used to always talk about controlling the message. Seems like framing it and encouraging others to speak is a much better way to go.

Any other examples people would like to share?

Katie would you like to comment on how the blog is working and perhaps when to blog, when to ning? We are all experimenting.

Tessy, any reflections or top tips for social activist bloggers?
