Dalai Lama Comes to UK - May 2008 - last chance?

This may be the last chance we have to meet world peace leader Tenzin Gyatso the Dalai Lama of Tibet. A friend helping organise the tour has told us future tours are unlikely, due to his advancing years and some health issues affecting insurance.

Fortunately there are several chances to hear His Holiness speak - in London, Oxford and Nottingham.

Public Talk in London, U.K. on May 22: His Holiness will give a public talk on Universal Responsibility In The Modern World at the Royal Albert Hall. Contact Website: www.dalailama2008UK.com

Public Talk in Nottingham, U.K. on May 24 & 25: His Holiness will give general talks on Bringing Meaning to Our Lives. Contact: Dharma Network 2008, PO Box 1923, Salisbury SP4 6XL UK. Ticket Order Line: +44-870-163-1781. Book Online at www.nottingham-arena.com Contact Website: www.dalailama2008.org.uk

Colloquium on Christian and Buddhist Traditions and Prayers in Oxford, U.K. on May 29:
His Holiness will give the keynote address at the Blackfriars Hall. Contact Website: www.so-wide.org

Public Talk in Oxford, U.K. on May 30: His Holiness will give a public talk at the Sheldonian Theatre on the wider understanding of the Buddhist tradition. Contact Website: www.so-wide.org

If you would like to meet up at the Nottingham talks, let us know. We will be there all weekend.

Thanks Richard. I was sent info about this from many people today. Such a wonderful example of positive, constructive, meaningful, peaceful protest. It will go down in our hall of fame.

Connected to the talk in London on May 22nd is a very fine bit of "social networking in the real world" "Give Peace A Hand" will create a unique 3-mile-long "human chain handshake" from the Dalai Lama at the Royal Albert Hall to the Chinese Embassy to send a positive global message for meaningful Chinese-Tibetan dialogue.

A real word interaction made possible by harnessing the power of activists communicating online.
