Ethical Trade & Info Community is coming into reality now.
Etic project is driven by personal interest and questions raised by my love for social anthropology, people, traveling, art and cultural products. I have been always fascinated by different cultures and their art and craft products, how their meaning has been changing in our modern world, through globalization, travel & tourism, technology, the Internet… How craft traditions, activities can be preserved in our fast changing world? What is the value behind a product? How cultural significance, uniqueness and authenticity can be mediated through trade? What world we live in today?
I believe, finding answers for our questions can happen in an interactive community environment where people share information and knowledge. Everyone brings a little piece to the whole and this is how we can grow individually and as one, for a common aim!
Etic feels a personal mission to create and then let it grow as people network, interact and use it. There are already a lot of people helped etic through on its first stage, now we are looking for more of you, having interest in different topics to create an interactive, conscious community environment. If you have any idea for running a topic, any tips, suggestion, questions please get in touch!
