Hi Libby, I made my first widget last week on widgetbox.com - made specifically for Ning (but will go pretty much anywhere). It's the del.icio.us widget on my profile - what do you think?
I saw your advert for this group on the Skip list and am often on our Creative Cafe group on Ning so came over and joined up. We are friendly and welcome new members on Creative Cafe as well so feel free to join us. I will now have a look around this site and see what is going on.
Hi Libby, thanks for the comment. You must have forgotten my name or face from unplugged. I'm the one who does the Soul Tech workshops..the workshop that Ariel went to (and was on the Today Show) and that then inspired her to start 52 Nights.
I like your site though and will try and be involved when I can.
The blogging for homeless young people sounds quite a challenge.
I guess I would be thinking about what the objective is - and who the audience is. Who are the young people writing for? Who is the primary audience and the secondary audience?
Is it the young people themselves? The decision makers who could make their lives better? Working on that first should help shape the message...
(Of course, it doesn't have to be writing. A scanned picture / a photo of a flip-chart of post-it notes, a video clip... all of those could have massive impact on a blog - and the medium may be more accessible and conducive to conversation and group work than working at a keyboard and screen (I might even prepare some visual aids / photo cards etc. if it's possible that the young people may have limited literacy)... the role of the blog is a publishing platform).
There is also something about audience building as much as blog building. When you know who the young people think of as their audience - how can you make sure their audience are reading/viewing and responding to what they write - and opening up a dialogue...
Would love to hear more about the project as it develops.... would you be around to talk about it at the UKYouthOnline BarCamp

I'll bring a few articles to my page from our blog to give my perspective, and maybe pose a few questions I've been deliberating on for feedback.
What kind of work did you do with Adbusters?
So how do you know John G and Biff? Are they here?
